Grandma's Marshmallow Salad

Our grandmother used to make this recipe (often called Ambrosia) when we were all together in the summer for a family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 small cans mandarins
  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Equipment

  • can opener
  • mixing spoon
  • mixing bowl

Directions

  1. Open the cans of fruit and pour the mandarins and pineapple into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Measure the coconut, sour cream and marshmallows into  the bowl. Mix all the ingredients together.

It's best to chill in the fridge for 15–30 minutes, however it's not necessary before enjoying this fun and easy dessert at a family potluck :)

Since pineapple isn't in season, we used canned fruit.
