Warm Vanilla Milk


  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Spices (optional): cinnamon, nutmeg or cardamom


  • measuring cup and spoon
  • medium saucepan (if using stovetop)
  • mixing spoon
  • cups or mugs for serving

Cook time:


  1. Bring milk to a simmer in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently, until heated through but not bubbling.
  2. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Divde among 3–4 cups.
  4. Sprinkle spices on top if you wish.


You can also warm milk easily in the microwave. Heat on medium-high, stirring every 15 seconds. For every cup of milk, it takes about 1 minute to heat through.
