- Place the greens in the bowl of a food processor and chop finely. There should be 3 cups of ground greens if you have used 1 lb of fresh greens. Use immediately or place the ground greens into sealable bags in 1 cup portions and freeze.
- To make the power sauce, place 1 cup of ground greens, tomato paste, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano (or Italian Seasoning), water and olive oil into the bowl of the food processor. Blend to a smooth consistency. You should have 2-1/3 cups (575 mL) sauce. Taste for seasoning and adjust to suit your preference. Use immediately, or store in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze in 1/2 cup to 1 cup portions.
- To make pizza, spread 1/2 to 1 cup of Power Sauce to cover the large pre-baked pizza crust. Sprinkle with your favourite toppings and bake on parchment covered baking pan at 425° F (220° C) for 10 to 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
Enjoy!
