Do not store knives loosely in a drawer. Store knives in a knife block or on a magnetic strip mounted on the wall or in a knife tray in your drawer. Knives that are stored loosely in a drawer can lose their edge when they get knocked around in the drawer or even lead to cuts as you try to grab one.
