Rules and Regulations for Better Together BC’s Social Giveaway

By entering this contest, you understand that you are providing your information to Better Together BC and the British Columbia Dairy Association (BCDA) (The “Sponsor”). By participating in this contest, you constitute to your full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these contest rules. The information you provide will be used only for the purpose of administering this Contest, unless otherwise consented to. By entering this contest, you agree to be contacted by the Sponsor or agent of the Sponsor (the “Promotional Parties”), for the purpose of awarding of prize or follow-up evaluation. 

INTRODUCTION: This Social Giveaway (the "Contest") sponsored by the BC Dairy Association (“BCDA”) gives participants the chance to win the prize described below. “Sponsor” and “BCDA” are interchangeable in these Contest rules and regulations (the “Rules”).

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open exclusively to residents of Greater Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Penticton, Kelowna and Vernon residents who can provide proof of residency at the time of entry. Entrants must be of the age of majority (19 years old). Employees, directors and officers of Sponsor, and each of their respective agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and the immediate family members (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse, and life partners) are not eligible to enter the Contest. Submissions through groups and/or charities will not be accepted.

TIMING: The Contest begins at 3:00:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, August 20, 2020, and ends on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 11:59:59 p.m. (the "Contest Period"). Entries received prior to or after the Contest Period will not be eligible. Entries are limited to one per person on either Facebook or Instagram.

HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  

Eligible entrants can enter the contest by:

Visiting Better Together BC’s Facebook or Instagram page, and following the instructions outlined to enter on the August 20th posts.

Eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be entered into a prize draw described below. Entries will be rejected if not successfully submitted and/or if not submitted within the Contest Period. 

PRIZE DESCRIPTION, REGIONAL ALLOCATION OF PRIZES, RANDOM DRAW AND ODDS: 

Prize: One (1) Prize will be awarded to one (1) Contest entrant at the end of the Contest Period. All eligible entries submitted within the Contest Period will be entered for a chance to win a $500 Fresh Prep Gift Card. Value of prize is $500 Canadian.

The Sponsor retains the right, in its absolute discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or value in the event of the unavailability of any component of any prize for any reason whatsoever. The prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash surrender value.

DRAW DATE: At the below draw date, one (1) eligible contest entrant will be selected by random from all eligible submissions received by the applicable draw date.

●   Monday, August 31, 2020 for entries received from the contest start date until 11:59:59 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2020.

ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. 

AWARDING OF PRIZE: The selected entrant will be contacted via social media within two (2) days of the applicable random draw date. Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must sign a standard declaration and release form, confirming compliance with the Contest Rules, acceptance of the Prize as awarded and releasing the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, contractors and agents, among others, from any and all liability of any kind in connection with this Contest, the entrant’s participation therein and/or the awarding and use of the Prize or any portion thereof, within the time period specified in these rules. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted by email within (7) days of the applicable draw date, or fails to return the Contest documents within the specified time, he/she will forfeit the prize and an alternate eligible entrant will, at the Sponsor’s discretion, be selected and this process will be repeated, at the Sponsor’s discretion, until such time as a winner is confirmed. The Sponsor or an agent of the Sponsor will contact each confirmed winner within five (5) days of receipt of the completed forms to arrange each Prize. The Sponsor may request valid proof of identity, residency, age and other relevant documentation, and the Sponsor may disqualify a selected entrant if the Sponsor determines (in its sole discretion) that the provided proof is not sufficient.

GENERAL RULES: By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which are final. No communication shall be entered into except with selected entrants. 

By entering the Contest, entrants, selected entrants, and such entrants' designated guests agree to release and hold harmless the Promotional Parties from any injury, loss or damage of any kind to persons or property, including but not limited to death, resulting in whole or in part directly or indirectly from the acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of the awarded Prize, any portion of such Prize, participation in any Contest-related activity including any travel related there to or participation in the Contest.

By entering the Contest selected entrants and such entrants' designated guests agree to fully indemnify the Promotional Parties from any and all claims by third parties without limitation.

By entering this Contest, entrants accept and agree to abide by the Official Contest Rules & Regulations and the decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which are final, binding and conclusive on all matters relative to this Contest.

In the event of a dispute, all electronic entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. The authorized account holder is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

None of the Promotional Parties shall be responsible in any way for, or bear any liability whatsoever in any way attributable to, the entrant’s participation in the Contest or the use of any prize awarded in this Contest.

Without limited the foregoing, the Promotional Parties will not be liable for any failure of the relevant web sites during the Contest; for any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software for the failure of any entry to be received by the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies for any reason including, but not limited to the above. Further, the Promotional Parties will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the Contest.

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Fresh Prep, Instagram, or Facebook. This Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws. Decisions of the Sponsor are final with respect to all aspects of this Contest.

The Sponsor reserves the right to suspend or cancel this Contest or amend the Contest Rules without notice or liability. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, such as tampering or infection by computer virus or for any reason whatsoever the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest and conduct the random draws from all previously received eligible entries.

By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her personal information submitted on his/her entry for the purpose of administering this Contest only unless otherwise consented to.
