Tell us your fave family meal for a chance to win a Family Membership to the Vancouver Aquarium!

In celebration of today being Family Day, we want to remind y’all that eating together as a family is equally beneficial (and fun!) whether you’re coming together at breakfast, lunch, or dinner to eat eggs & toast, milk & cookies or a roast chicken. For every meal you eat together, you and your kids reap the many associated benefits.

That’s why, in honour of BC Family Day, we’re asking our BC community to tell us: What is your favourite meal to eat together? Comment on this blog post or Tweet us @bettertogether with #familymealday and either #breakfast, #lunch or #dinner. You’ll be automatically entered into a random draw for a chance to win a Family Pass to the Vancouver Aquarium… one of our favourite places for a family outing! (Picnic in front of the Belugas, anyone?). Entries will be accepted until Sunday, February 16th!

P.S. Feel free to share specifics, too- we’d love to know what you’re eating!

Happy Family Day BC!

  • Hello, my family's favourite meal is home made pizza. Our dough is made from scratch with my kitchenaid mixer. This is our "fun" night for my family of 9! :)

  • Our favorite meal to eat together is Breakfast. We only have the chance to do this on the weekend but it gives us a chance to plan our day together and talk about what each of us would like to do. Talking aboutwhat we can do for the day gets everyone excited about spending it together.

  • Friday night pizza, often our easy Black Bean Pizza So fun and everyone helps!! First we make the pizza dough (1/2 white flour, 1/2 whole wheat flour) and the kids have fun trying to knead it (slam on counter) then we roll it out and put salsa, black beans, corn, chopped roasted red peppers, chopped sicilian olives, top with low fat cheddar. Bake about 25 minutes or until crust is lightly browned. Make tray of fresh veg to round out the meal! Yummy, watch movie. Perfect Friday Nights!

  • Dinner! It's the one meal me and my son are together for a meal so we can talk about our day while enjoying our dinner.

  • Any meal with my family is special especially since I travel a lot for work. When I am home I love baking with my son so he can do quality control on the brown sugar or chocolate chips. We love baking cookies for a weekend snack.

  • I've always really enjoyed Pizza and Movie night with the family. Every 2nd Friday we pick a movie and get some pizza and sit around and eat. Since I work graveyards, I'm usually not awake for family dinner, but it's a time we can all look forward to.
