BC Chicken Helps Sponsor The 2020 Kitchen Hacks Challenge!
Our first-ever Kitchen Hacks Challenge is underway and we’ve already got some great videos submitted! The contest, running until May 22nd, invites families across BC to inspire one another by sharing their family meal hacks and, in turn, supporting local food banks. For the first 100 entries received, BC dairy farmers will donate $100 to Food Banks BC!
This contest would not be possible without partners, like our friends at BC Chicken.
One of our favourite Kitchen Hacks involves picking up a BC rotisserie chicken at the store. There are SO many dishes to make with it… quesadillas, wraps, tacos, stir-frys, and of course you can simply enjoy it as is with some sides of your choice. Bonus: You can also keep the bones to make nutritious bone broth and warming soups!
Plus, buying a local rotisserie chicken is a great way to support BC farmers! Our farmers raise their chickens without the use of hormones or steroids. If you’re looking for more reasons to buy BC Chicken check out this list. So the next time you pick up a rotisserie chicken, you might just want to give some of these delicious recipes a try: Green Chili Chicken Lasagna, Lightly Curried Pot Pie, Savoury Asparagus Chicken Bread Pudding, and Pulled Chicken Sliders. Follow BC Chicken on Facebook for more delicious recipes and tips.
Enter the Kitchen Hacks Challenge, now! It’s as simple as 1-2-3!
To enter, simply share a video showing your best family meal hack (such as a go-to recipe or time-saving trick!).
Make sure to keep the video under 60 seconds!
Upload your video to the contest page.
Did we mention there are great prizes to be won? The Grand Prize winner will be awarded $1000 cash as determined by this year’s judges. We also have a second cash prize of $500 for the People’s Choice Award (the video with the most votes!). Both prizes bring a cash prize match donation totalling $1500 to the local BC food banks.
