We can hardly believe that we’ve been celebrating family meals across BC for a whole decade!

We’ve just wrapped the 10th annual Hands-on Cook-off contest and we’re deeply inspired by each and every video entry received this year: A big thank you to all who participated.

Our vision for the Hands-on Cook-off continues to be one of inspiration. We’ve been inspiring kids, teens, and adults to cook together and reap the valuable benefits, and you’ve been inspiring us with all your creativity and dedication to sharing your kitchen memories.

We thank you for giving us a window into your kitchens and homes! Precious stories were told and the joys of cooking and eating together shine through in each and every entry received this year.

Highlights of the 2019 Hands-on Cook-off Contest:

• A variety of recipes were showcased - from black bean brownies to gyoza to spinach pies to zucchini muffins to egg tarts and more!

• Videos were submitted from 17 different communities across the province.

A big thank you to our amazing judges and supporters as well who helped spread the news about the contest. The Hands-on Cook-off contest has been an annual celebration of the family dinner movement in BC, and we hope it inspires you to cook and share more meals together as a family for years to come!
